Il San Gerolamo del Caravaggio
L’avevo annunciato all’inizio di agosto ma un certo timore riverenziale mi aveva bloccato. Ora il disegno è pronto. La tela ha già diverse stesure di calce perché il tratto non mi convinceva ed è stato più volte ridisegnato (come si può vedere). Non sarà un parto facile ma vi terrò aggiornati, cominciando dalla scelta dei colori e durante tutte le fasi della lavorazione.

I announced this at the beginning of August, but a certain reverential trepidation held me back. Now the drawing is ready. The canvas already has a few coats of lime because I wasn’t sure about the outline and it was redrawn several times (as you can see). It won’t be an easy process but I will keep you updated, starting with the choice of colours and then all the stages of painting.
